Amendments in Rules on High Security Registration Plates for Vehicles Notified: Govt to SC The vehicle dealers can also provide the high-security registration plates for old vehicles, the ministry has said, adding, that high-security registration plate helps in keeping track of vehicle and makes it easier to trace a lost or stolen vehicle.

BH Number - Many questions still to answer The government has introduced BH number series and vehicles have started getting registered since 2021 under this scheme. But after almost 1.5 years have passed a lot of confusion still remains with the executive RTOs /RTAs, to enumerate a few.. Can the owner of a BH number vehicle sell the vehicle to a person who doesn't have employment with an employee who has offices in 4 states? if yes, will the BH number continue and he have to pay tax every 2nd year as it was for the first buyer? or  if yes again, but BH will no longer continue and his vehicle will be registered as local state RTO series only like MH/ RJ/JK, etc...   In such a case will the new buyer will have to pay local road tax for the residual period, and how it will be calculated?
